I Care Atlanta!

I Care Atlanta, Inc. (formerly My Brother's Keepers Reaching Out, Inc) is a 501(c)3 non- profit organization devoted to stabilizing lives and preventing homelessness by feeding the food insecure through the provision of groceries, cooked foods and linking clients to resources and emergency assistance. ICA provides these services through our mobile pantry services, direct services (in-house distribution) and emergency/crisis prevention services. We focus on providing services that lead to self-sufficiency.

Over 28% of Children in GA are food insecure (Feeding American, 2014).

Mission: I Care Atlanta Inc. (ICA) helps stabilize lives and prevents homelessness by feeding the food insecure in Metro Atlanta through the distribution of groceries, cooked foods, and links to resources that will result in self-sufficiency.

Vision: I Care Atlanta envisions a community where individuals can live their dreams and not their hunger.

Values: Our goal of preventing hunger and stabilizing lives can only be achieved through the commitment and dedication of our staff, the support of our community partners, the giving and support of our donors and our commitment to being good stewards.

Our Mission

Our goal is to serve the homeless and low income families by furthering their opportunities and addressing their personal needs to help them take responsibility for their future and their families. To this end we have launched a GED training and Job Placement center, which includes adult basic education and English as a second language. We feel that we can best serve their needs by going to them and developing relationships to help them climb out of the cycle of poverty, and bring them out of the old lifestyle into a more productive one.

Join us in helping someone engage in a journey of healing, connection and empowerment.. Volunteer Today!

Homelessness is an Epidemic

While circumstances can vary, the main reason people experience homelessness is because they cannot find housing they can afford. Behind this inability to acquire or maintain housing is the current scarcity of jobs in the United States – particularly in more urban areas where homelessness is more prevalent, such as Atlanta.

There is a large homeless population in Atlanta, as well as many families and individuals who though they may have jobs do not earn enough to provide themselves. Lack of education and job training also contribute significantly to the problem. Donate!

But We Can Begin At Home

By working together, we can not only meet the demands of immediate crises, but we can provide programs that will transform the lives of the families we serve for many years to come. Through the POWER OF ONE, we believe that greater things are yet to come for our community. Please join us!

  • Approximately five years ago I had the privilege to meet and partner with the founder of I Care Atlanta, Anthony Delgado. Initially, one becomes captivated by Mr. Delgado's personal story and his unforgettable laugh. But beyond the relationship rests an organization committed to helping those less fortunate. Not only does this organization provide food for the hungry, GED training and job readiness programs are taught to those in need. I Care Atlanta has positively influenced me as a volunteer and continues to be vital resource for my police department.

I can't tell you enough how touched we all are by the help your organization and Anthony Delgado has provided our families. It kind of "renews your faith" that there are some good people in the world. Have a blessed Christmas and thanks again!!!

  • I Care Atlanta helps Cross-Cultural Ministries serve the families in the Chamblee-Doraville area by providing food for families and the homeless.  Because I Care Atlanta gives us some of the donated pizzas and other food that they receive, 80 children a day in CCM's after-school educational program are fed, mothers receive food that they can serve their pre-school children, and men who are seeking work, coming from work or are homeless are given a pizza. The partnership with I Care Atlanta enables both of us to minister and feed more people.
